Care Guide

Onyx Obsidian

I’m an artist from Buffalo, New York and art has always been a part of my life... I started drawing when I was a little kid. Art became my passion very naturally. I love creating because it’s interesting to see how I can bring the images in my mind to a tangible form, and then to see where they go from there. My inspiration tends to come from nature, and I feel most connected to artwork when aesthetics from nature are part of my work. The process for me can honestly be a messy puzzle, but the challenge to create what I see is rewarding.

Often I’ll bring aesthetics from nature into my personal style too. Currently I have 17 piercings (with more to come), and even the jewelry I pick out is nature-inspired. Stone, florals, wood, shell and any materials or designs that remind me of being outdoors finds a way into my look. My favorite piercings are my septum, gauges, and industrial. I view body mods as an expression of myself, and a way I can outwardly display a piece of my inner workings. Being part of the Bodycandy team is a dream come true. I get to combine two things I love—art and body mods!
