"My only requirement is that my jewellery doesn’t turn orange/copper coloured or smell like metal. None of the 36 L grade steel items that I’ve bought have done that (and I’ve even worn them in the shower), so I’m satisfied (I still don’t really trust lower grade steels though). Can’t guarantee that it’s hypoallergenic, but it’s not been an issue for me."
