That’s right, spikes. It’s the perfect way to add a bit of edge to a look, to get things to look a little (or a lot) more dangerous and really help to express a piercing the right way. No. You want something that matches those spikes on your shoulders; something that’ll make an impression in the mosh pit. Something like… a Stainless Steel Spiked Talon Labret. That’s right, talon! Like a hawk!
Okay, so that first paragraph might have been a little over the top, but you get what I’m saying right? There’s a very clear audience for certain styles, and for a punk and metal head like myself, there are just times when nothing will do but spikes. The simplicity of a clean steel or titanium spike brings out the “shimmer” in just the right way.
It really doesn’t matter what you have pierced or what you’re looking for , if there’s a hole then guaranteed there’s a spike to adorn it. Pieces ranging from single cones made of white gold for a clean and simple look, to balls with a cluster of spikes spread out around them. The same goes for how large and expressive you want the piece to be. Things like basic titanium spikes can give a hardcore and tribal look to a septum piercing while still being small and unassuming. Something like a labret talon on the other hand, will stand out and be a huge expression of your lower lip.
