"I recently changed my original stud to a gold plated over sterling silver hoop (BIG MISTAKE, DO NOT DO NOT) so I changed it back to surgical steel because I got a bad keloid/infection from the sterling silver and this has helped the infection go away and the fit is a little small, and that was my bad but for some reason this one is small and a size up is too big, I’ll figure that out eventually anyhow, this material has helped and even though I can’t fully close the hoop it still looks cute with the opal out, very chick and different, just remember that if you can’t close your hoop all the way at least close it enough so it isn’t halfway in the nose hole because you’re going to have to force it back open (it happened to me with this so now I’m keeping the opening on the outside) I would definitely order from body candy again because I trust that their material is safe for piercings and that it isn’t blended with other metals that will cause irritation. The steel has not become opaque, still has a pretty shine to it as well as the opal. I’ve had it on for about 2 weeks now and no complaints. The keloid however has stayed but it isn’t as bad as it was, I did hear that they can stay for a while. I’m hoping it goes away soon. If not I will try another kind of surgical steel blend and see how that goes. Other than that, great product!"
