Lip Ring Styles & Size Guide

Lip jewelry runs 14G to 16G, 14G is the classic for most lip piercings, 16G for daintier placements. A labret stud has a flat disc inside your mouth (flush and food-friendly); hoops and horseshoes wrap the lip; captive rings give the seamless look. Match the gauge you wear now; every product page lists it.

Two comfort rules from the lip pierced life: pick the right post length so the disc sits snug (too long = it migrates and clicks teeth), and once healed lips heal fast, usually 6 to 8 weeks, swap freely. If a stud ever feels like it's bothering gums, a shorter post usually fixes it.

FAQ

Most lip piercings are 14G or 16G, 14G is the common standard, 16G for finer placements like Monroes. Match the jewelry you're wearing now, and check each product page for the exact gauge.

A labret stud sits flush with a flat disc inside your mouth the everyday, eat anything choice. A ring or horseshoe wraps the lip for a bolder look. Same piercing, two moods; most people own both and swap by occasion.

The right size won't sit against them that's the key. A too long labret post wanders and clicks teeth; a snug post with a flat disc behaves. If you grind or play with your jewelry, a bioplast or acrylic backed piece is the gentler option.

Measure the post of your current comfortable stud (disc to base of the ball) most lips wear 1/4" to 3/8". Fresh piercings start longer for swelling; once healed, piercers usually downsize. Every product page lists the post length.

Once healed usually 6 to 8 weeks, sometimes more absolutely. Labrets unscrew at the ball (hold the disc, turn the ball). Wash hands, don't force, and if it's a fresh piercing, let your piercer make the first swap.

Mostly 316L surgical steel, with titanium colors and real 14k gold for upgrades. Sensitive skin does best with titanium or solid gold nickel-free. The product page lists every material.
