"I mainly ordered these because I was getting surgery. I didn't put on the shield. Luckily the shield is detachable. The description is exactly what they say. My nipples healed so much faster then using a surgical stainless steel. I have to admit that the end of the barbell is kind of pointy so just apply vaseline and it won't feel sharp. The tribal sun on the other hand is too small. I can't get the shield to fit so that I can apply the barbell to go right through. I ordered two since it said it comes individually. Save yourself the money and order one. I ended up with 4. I might give one away."
