Nose Screws

The nose screw is the one that stays in. A post with a gentle corkscrew curl rotates in and locks itself against the inside of your nostril. Micro gem twisters, CZ classics, skulls and hearts, up to solid 14k gold with genuine diamonds, mostly in the nose-standard 20G. Maximum security, zero backing.

Nose Screw Fit & Insertion Guide

Sizing is familiar territory. 20G for most noses, 18G for thicker piercings, with wearable lengths of 1/4" (6mm) and 5/16" (8mm). One naming note. A "twister" is the same corkscrew family, and our Micro Twister series is the best-selling example, so screw, twister and corkscrew all mean this page.

The insertion secret that makes converts is to follow the spiral and never push straight. Tip the end into the piercing, then rotate the jewelry along its own curve. It feeds itself through and seats with the curl resting flat inside. One practice run in the mirror and you'll see why screw loyalists don't wear anything else.

The nose family, by insert style:

FAQ

A nose stud whose post ends in a corkscrew curl. You rotate it in following the spiral, and the curl lies flat inside your nostril, anchoring the jewelry with no backing, no ball and no clasp. It's the most secure stud design in nose jewelry.

Nothing. "Twister" is the same corkscrew design, and it's what our best-selling Micro Twister series is named. Screw, twister, corkscrew. One family, this page.

There's a knack, and it takes exactly one practice run. Rotate along the spiral instead of pushing straight. Tip the end in, turn gently, and the curve feeds itself through. Removal is the same motion in reverse. After the first time it's ten seconds.

This is the style people switch to after losing straight pins. The curl has to be deliberately rotated back out, so sleep, towels and masks don't evict it. If your nose jewelry keeps disappearing, the screw is your answer.

20G covers most noses and is the bulk of this page, with an 18G lineup for thicker piercings, in 1/4" and 5/16" wearable lengths. Match the gauge you wear now. It's listed on every product page.

316L surgical steel for the everyday rotation, anodized titanium colors, and solid 14k gold at the top, including genuine diamond settings. The gold pieces offer a fishtail option your piercer custom-bends to your nose. Every product page lists the metal and the stone.
