Today Our very own Jade K. talks about piercing through scar tissue:
You may have a piercing that rejected or maybe you took it out and now you changed your mind and want it back. Can you get it re-pierced?
There is a chance that it can hurt a bit more though if you're piercing through scar tissue which is a little bit tougher. Not everyone experiences this but some definitely might!
Before getting any piercing re-pierced, let it heal up completely!! 3 months is about the minimum wait time for most piercings to heal up but absolutely get your piercer's opinion in person of course.
Always consult with a really good piercer in any situation. Especially in this case, a seasoned pro might be able to help you get the look you're going for without having to go right through that same spot.
One last tip! Please, PLEASE, don't try to re-pierce yourself at home! There are so many risks but especially if you're dealing with scar tissue :)
