The Tea: Planning to Travel with Jewelry

Happy May Babez! Welcome back to my weekly e-zine, The Tea. I am SO excited... Why you ask?

I'm headed to the APP conference in Las Vegas next week :)! Long story short, the APP (Association of Professional Piercers) Conference is an annual get-together where piercers, apprentices, health inspectors, and jewelry industry folks can get together for a weeks worth of education and fun. I'm really looking forward to meeting a lot of friendly faces. I'm going to learn so much!

In honor of the plane ride I'm about to take (all the way from Buffalo to Vegas), my video this week is a little bit about what to expect when you're traveling. I've definitely got to be prepared for next week - but I don't want to spoil my video for y'all! Click it and hear what I have to say.

So, in addition to my own plans to travel, we did a little feature over on the Body Jewelry Blog about what its like to travel with piercings. EVERYONE is always nervous about heading through the metal detector... I'm loud and proud about my piercings but some people want to keep that stuff private! Anyways, we did some research for you, and pointed out some interesting stuff to keep in mind if you're planning on taking the plunge while you're away from home.

Babe of the Week:

Loralee

She’s social media-less so she totally won’t see this, but there was no way I couldn’t do a babe of the week feature on my Mother-In-Law, Loralee, in honor of Mother’s Day on Sunday! She loves the color purple, peace, love, and her family more than probably anything else! She is the most selfless, beautiful human, and if you can’t tell - my husband looks SO MUCH like her! I’m so lucky to have such a strong, intelligent, hardworking, caring, loving (I could keep going, but I’ll refrain) woman in my life. I would have married my husband anyway, but it’s pretty freaking awesome for me that I got an amazing set of in-laws in the process! Loralee is a mother of two boys, an amazing wife, the Assistant Dean at the School of Nursing @ University of Buffalo, AND she’s a dog mom! I don’t know how she does it, but she does and I love her so much! Happy Mother’s Day, Loralee! (That’s for her to read when I show her this email! 😂💕)
