The Tea: Stitching Up Split Lobes
Hey Body Candy Fam!
It me, Alley! Thanks for hanging out here on my weekly e-zine, The Tea. Coming at you HOT every Thursday :).
Today's topics:
- I love my stretched ears - but sometimes, for whatever reason, you have to let them go. What happens when you don't want your plugs anymore?
- The procedure to fix this mod is performed by a plastic surgeon - it's not always the same, but they may cut a V-shape, a Z-shape, or a wedge-shape in your existing ear anatomy and then stitch it back together to create solid tissue once more. They may even use a punch tool, depending on the size of your plugs.
- Once you're all healed up, you may even be able to get re-pierced, although the scarring on your lobe may create some complications.
- No matter what, this is a procedure for a medical professional - specifically a plastic surgeon. If you think this procedure is right for you, make sure you consult with someone qualified to perform this surgery.

I'm definitely a fan of the stretched-earlobe look, so I'm not ready to leap at the lobe stitching procedure just yet (or ever)... And because of that I wanted to highlight Body Candy's impressive collection of plugs; hangers; tunnels; and taper kits. My latest favorites are the matte-finish, vitrail, and glass tear drop options that we have coming in, so keep your eyes peeled for those. We've also freshly-stocked some brand new arrivals on the site - we make sure our body jewelry is freshly stocked and routinely updated so you can always feel up-to-date with your jewelry needs. Finally, some of our top-sellers lately have been our matte-finish jewelry options, so I made sure to include a link to that collection too - happy shopping!
On the surgery theme, a bunch of Body Candy babes have been sending in their own personal x-rays featuring their body jewelry silhouettes. We've picked out ten of our favorites for a Body Jewelry blog this week. Head over and see what we picked out for our blog this week: "10 Fascinating Pictures of Body Jewelry in X-Rays."
