The Tea: Piercings You Can Hide
Hey Body Candy Fam!
Hello all! Thanks for joining me today. In case you're new here, my name is Alley and this is my every-Thursday blog where we talk about all-things pierced & modified. It's called The Tea!
Today we're talking about piercings you can hide. As a very pierced/modified individual, I'm not afraid to show off my jewelry... But there are situations where you might need to keep your affinity for body jewelry hidden. Whether it's work, or school, or a family function with an uptight relative, sometimes you'll just need to keep your piercings tucked away.
I've come up with a list of eight (8) piercings that you can hide... The nice thing about these piercings is that they don't HAVE to stay hidden, but they can be hidden from plain view when you need to. Here's what I think:
Today's topics:
- Helix piercings - earlobes are generally an accepted piercing location, but ear cartilage is a bit edgier. Helix piercings are usually in the upper rim of the ear, so they can be easily hidden by hair.
- Septum Piercings - use a horseshoe ring when you want to hide your septum jewelry. Simply flip it up into your nose for an invisible look.
- Belly Button Piercings - bikinis and crop tops will show this one off for sure... But any other clothing should cover this one nicely.
- Tongue web/marley - these piercings are tucked away in your mouth, a bit less visible than your standard tongue ring.
- Nipple Piercings - any padded bra, hoodie, or use of lo-pro jewelry should hide this mod just fine!
Plus a few more mods! Watch my vlog for more info :)

We've spent lots of time today talking about piercings you can hide... What about piercings that are super visible?! An eyebrow ring is one of the most forward-facing piercings you can get - it's really hard to hide this one due to its location in the eyebrow, right above your eye. Unless you have monster bangs, this one is a piercing that is sure to get some attention... So it begs the question, what can I actually wear in this piercing? Of course, you have your basic curved barbells - the most common eyebrow jewelry. There are also hoops like segment rings and BCRs which provide a different sort of look. Did you know you can also wear spiral rings (usually reserved for belly buttons) and even septum clickers in your eyebrow piercing? All you have to do is make sure the gauge size matches up (most eyebrow piercings are 16g). Learn all about the different ways you can decorate this very visible mod in this week's blog: What Jewelry Can I Wear In My Eyebrow Piercing?
Have you been to our New Body Jewelry collection recently? Body Candy does not take our status as the biggest and best body jewelry store on the internet. We've recently uploaded a bunch of new nipple jewelry; belly button jewelry; cartilage earrings; stud earrings; eyebrow rings; septum jewelry; and much more... So make sure you check out the link above and see what we have to offer. I'd also like to point out one of our most favorite collections, our aurora gem jewelry. Aurora gems are coated with a special substance that makes them glisten in the light. Each aurora gem is a little bit different, so you'll never get the same experience twice. They shine with lots of blues, purples, and oranges and yellows, so make sure you try one of those out in one of your piercings today! Last but not least is our amazing Opal Love collection. If you've been looking for the perfect way to winterize your piercings, look no further! Opals shimmer and shine in the sunlight and look amazing in the snowy winter seasons. Just like our aurora gems, our opals are all a little bit different, with lots of fiery inclusions and shimmery specks in each stone. Which opal color is your favorite? We've got white opals; blue opals; pink opals; green opals, and much more!
Did you know I also have an advice column called Dear Alley? Every Saturday, I answer three of your pierced/modified questions. Do you have a question about a new piercing you've been wondering about? Do you need advice on aftercare? Do you need an unbiased opinion about something related to piercings or tattoos. I'm your girl! Write me up an email at DearAlley@bodycandy.com with your question. Who knows, maybe I'll answer your question next week!
One final call for our December monthly club pieces! I've been wearing my monthly club pieces ALL month... I hope you have been too. Wait, you're not sure what the Body Candy Monthly Club is? LET ME EXPLAIN :). Every month, Body Candy puts together special clubs based on different piercings. Do you have a septum ring? We have a septum club (that also works for daith piercings)! Do you have a belly piercing or a nose ring? We've got clubs for those too! Each club has three jewelry selections; they're hand-packed with love and then sent right to your door. For $14.95, each month, on-schedule, you'll receive three (3) pieces to a club of your choice? We also have the industrial bar club; the tongue ring club; the labret club; and even a vitamin C serum club.
