How can you spice up lobe piercings?
Why do people usually start their piercing journey with their earlobes? For one thing, they heal faster than most other piercings, taking about three to six months to heal. They’re also quite painless to get, as piercings go. (Pain is subjective and some people may have a higher tolerance than others, but most people find this to be true.) And of course, they are a classic piercing and shouldn’t get a second look from the people around you. Even in the most conservative environments, ear piercings are considered to be quite normal. So, if you already have your lobes pierced and are looking for some options to add to your ears without piercing cartilage, you have a few options.
Double Lobes – You can get a second piercing along the earlobe, next to the first. This is another classic look that shouldn’t draw a lot of attention.
Double Stacked Lobes – A stacked piercing is when you pierced above another. High nostrils with standard nostril piercings would be an example of this. You can get lobe piercings above where the existing one sits. You can choose to have them aligned vertically or to offset the higher one so it’s above and to the side of the existent piercing.
Triple Lobes – This would be a row of three piercings set horizontally next to each other along the earlobe. This is less common but still a fairly conservative look.
Stacked Triple Lobes – This would be one or two piercings next to each other horizontally, with the remainder set above them. The neat thing about this one is that you can create a triangular shape on your earlobe, with two below and one set above and between them.
Four or More – At this point, the options are endless. Get them in a line all the way to where the cartilage begins, make a zig-zag of standard and stacked piercings, or do a double row all along the lobe. The options are pretty much limited only by your imagination and the size of your earlobes.
So now that you have your piercings or an idea of piercings that you want, you may be wondering how to style these beauties. That’s the fun part! The great thing about earlobes is that you can wear almost any style of jewelry. What about circular jewelry in the lower piercings and studs in the stacked ones? Or connecting piercings with chain jewelry? You can stretch the first piercing and put studs in the rest or put studs in all of them for a more conservative look. When it comes to earlobes, the jewelry options are only limited by your imagination.
