The Tea: Dealing With Rude Comments

So... last week during my FB Live session I asked y'all a spicy question: "What are the most annoying comments that people make about you being a pierced or modified person." We had so many good answers - and trust me, I use the word "good" lightly.
All those pass-agg comments got me really fired up. I love being modified! I think piercings and tattoos are so beautiful... Everyone should feel free to decorate their bodies however they want. I decided to do my video this week on some of the RUDE things people tend to say (or have literally said to me), with an emphasis on handling those comments with class.
Y'all know I always advocate being nice and kind to everyone you bump into, even the curmudgeons! I get the feeling those individuals have an unfair perspective on the pierced and modified crowd. Just because we have mods doesn't mean we're criminals... at least most of us ;). My approach is simple: 1.) I try to change their perspective by being kind and polite. If that doesn't work, then 2.) I walk away with a smile. Kill 'em with kindness!
One that really grinds my gears is "you'd be so beautiful without all those holes in your face," or something similar to that. EXCUSE ME! I happen to love these holes in my face, especially the beautiful body jewelry I get to wear inside of them :).

For my curated sets this week, I wanted to do a literal rainbow of colors. One is a collection of warm-tone stuff full of bright, vibrant colors like greens, shiny golds, fiery reds, and stunning violets. The other is a collection of cool-tone stuff - a little more muted. Think lavenders, blues, pale oranges, and seafoam greens. This one was really fun to put together with a specific highlight on our fun-colored, anodized titanium pieces.
