Cyber Bites & Nose Piercings
I got the piercing bug again! Here's a brief rundown on how it went:
I now have a slightly bigger attachment on my medusa piercing and it's called moonstone. It's really pretty. I did have an opal in it originally, but I wanted something a bit more neutral that would go with all of my jewelry.
I wanted to get the bottom of my lip pierced as well. I didn't want a vertical labret, so I went for the standard labret and that honestly, like the Medusa, was a breeze. It was over in a second. I've got a larger bar in the minute to accommodate for swelling, but in the next couple weeks I'll be able to have that shortened.
As for pain level, I'd honestly only rate it like four or five out of ten, because it's just so fast. It has been a little bit annoying to heal just because the bar's longer. So when it goes into my mouth, I've found that when I'm eating things like a pizza or a burger, sometimes I bite the bar and it doesn't hurt it just makes me cringe beyond belief, like it's such a horrible, jarring feeling. Other than that an absolute breeze. I'd totally recommend!
Next, I got my nostril done. I've had the other side done since I was 16 so I've had it about eight years. That one, I cannot describe the pain. Oh my goodness me, of all the piercings that I've got, I did not remember that one ever being so painful! It is over really fast, so it's okay but it stuck with me that that pain hurt. I walked into that shop with confidence, and I said that I also want my high nostrils pierced... eventually. I can tell you right now that I will not be doing that in a hurry, because this nostril piercing hurt.
Healing-wise, I've had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I've had less issues than when I first got the other pierced because that one was pierced with a nose screw, which I'm not actually sure you should do but this one is pierced with a flatback labret. I have knocked it a few times, but in terms of sleeping and such, it's been fine. It's been really easy to clean. I've got saline solution and I use lint-free cotton pads to clean them and alcohol mouthwash in the mouth to clean orally.
