So, today is going to be super fun. Really quickly, I'm just going to run through the belly ring of the month club, like what it looks like. So, I'm still here. When you order, the first thing I always forget to tell you guys is no matter what you order, whether it's the belly ring of the month club or not, you get this really awesome card that is backwards right now. But it has my face on it, which is cool, right? That's the first important thing. The most important thing is there's this measuring tool on the back. A lot of you guys ask me sizing questions. This is super helpful. Right now, they are on thinner material. We are working on getting these to be thicker so they last. But also, you get these every time you order. So if you're ordering regularly, you always get new ones. These are awesome.

The belly ring of the month club, just to go over it really quickly, is 14.95 a month if you live in the US. Outside the US, there's an extra $5 a month for shipping, but that's flat rate anywhere. This month we had four pieces, but normally there's three. One is an exclusive, hand-crafted piece that you cannot get anywhere else in this world. Our handcrafted department creates them from scratch. So these are their ideas. The second and third piece are exclusives that you can't buy on our site right now. And then this month, like I said, we had a basic that we just added in.

So, belly ring of the month club, we have this super cute ... This is the hand-crafted piece. This is called safari jasper, and it is tan and olive and it has some red tones in it. It's gorgeous. It's rose gold anodized. We have a Swarovski crystal hanging there. It's really light and it's dangly, but this is so cute if you're wearing a crop top. I love this so much. I've been really, really rocking this. It was one of my favorites when we were starting to work out the plans for the belly ring of the month club.

Secondly, real quick, we have another rose gold baby. This is a three-tier dangle. It has the turquoise stone in it and it is the rose gold anodized as well. This is, again, very lightweight and so cute. I had a lot of fun. I saw this one when I was trying to pick out an exclusive and I fell in love with it. And I've really, really enjoyed this.

Sorry if I keep ducking out. We're in the vast nature. I don't know if you guys can see these windmills back here, but Buffalo has a lot of wonderful windmills and things like that, and the city is kind of in there. I think I can zoom. I can. I did this on Instagram and then I did this creepy thing where I was like and so I just did it again. But yeah, it's super awesome out here.

The third piece is this super cute spiral. We have a lot of people that are always interested in these and don't quite understand these. These are so cool. There is a tutorial video on how to put these in. We will make sure that that is blasted everywhere for you. I don't know if you can clearly tell, but this is a butterfly and it has the pink and clear gems in it. There's also an art deco one that's a little more pointed. They both are the same color scheme and they are both spiral. So you might receive one or the other. We're trying to make sure that there will not be any alternates in the future, just so you guys know. So what you see is what you get. We tried to mix it up and some people weren't really into that. So I just want to let you guys know that we are paying attention. We are listening to you.

And then the fourth piece, which is the least exciting, which I probably shouldn't have done it that way, is this cute little basic. But honestly, it's a really beautiful blue. It's a sapphire color and this is the month of September's birth stone, so we thought this was a nice simple basic. We wanted to make sure that you guys were not only getting some really fancy, beautiful, luxurious pieces that are bright and flashy and sparkly. But we also wanted to give you guys some pieces that you can just wear all the time and that are a little bit smaller or a mounted just to give you guys options. And who doesn't want basics? So, these are always helpful. The best.

Amanda, we've been trying to dig ... I was reading your message. We've been trying to mix up the belly ring of the month club because we know not everybody wants dangles. And depending on the jeans you wear, sometimes they're not the right piece to wear that day. So we're trying to give you guys a variety so that during the summer, when you're wearing a bathing suit or you're wearing a skirt and a crop top or shorts and a crop top, you can wear the danglies where they can kind of be free, and then include the more mounted pieces and smaller pieces so that you have stuff you can wear all the time.

I mostly, in general, guys, brought Halloween jewelry and it's a little bit of a mix, but that's the big deal today. I'm also going to actually be telling you guys ... I don't want to say debunk, but we're going to be talking about metal today. We're going to talk about metal finishes, what metals are made up of. I get a lot of messages about metal sensitivities. We're going to help you guys navigate the best products and metal finishes or other finishes for things for you.

I'm going to be talking about the metals in a little bit and I will address all this stuff, I think. And everything I've seen, I think, is addressed, just so you guys know that I'm not ignoring your questions about that. Excuse me.

The other thing I featured in a photo on Instagram this week that you guys really died over, so I wanted to make sure I included it, was this baby. I tried to pick out some pieces that are very fall and Halloween without being necessarily gory or creepy. And I like that kind of stuff and some people really love that kind of stuff and I have things like that with me. But I also wanted to make sure to show you guys, you can be fancy and glammy and bougie and still have Halloween stuff on.

This spider is a black anodized color and it's gorgeous. It has an aurora gem. So it looks almost like an opal. But, oh my god. These are so cute. I'm going to probably put this in after I'm done with live. To be honest, I've really been digging on this. So, keep that in mind. And actually, I guess to finish it off, before I set this jewelry down, is I will show you guys the third piece that was in the same picture. And that is this cute little glam skull. It is made with a Swarovski crystal skull and then it's just on the black anodized belly ring. It's nice and little. It's a little dangly, but not too crazy. So, this one was the third one in that picture and all of them, I really was loving on.

We do. Get a belly piercing, Amy. It's the best. It's so fun. Honestly, that's the jewelry I enjoy changing out the most. My plugs and my belly ring. I keep in a lot of the same nose jewelry and stuff. I like to keep it simple, because this stuff is awesome for when I'm out with my friends or out at a bar, but also it translates really well for work. Not that I have a problem with my job anymore. But I had a really professional job before this as well. I was an office manager and I pretty much greeted every client that came in the door and I always had piercings and keeping them simple and just a little touch of the rose gold seemed to really help me not bring attention to the fact that I had them.

So, there's never too many belly rings, Kelly. Okay. I know I said this last week and I'm going to reiterate this point and then I'm going to actually give you guys some information so I don't forget. There's no such thing as body shaming on our pages, on our social media. I do not accept. Everybody is beautiful. If you want a belly ring, you go get a belly ring, because it will look awesome on you and you will love it and you will feel so good about yourself, or if you want one, you would. Everybody is beautiful and I always hate when people ask me that question because I don't like when people feel shamed. It bothers me. So, absolutely go get that.

The other thing, before I forget, is last Friday we had told you guys that we were getting new merch and we showed you the shirts that we got in. And we got the shirts in really limited quantities because we didn't know if you guys were going to want them. And what happened was everybody started telling me, "I want these shirts, but you don't have my size." So, Friday, literally when I got off live at 1:40 or whatever time it was, we put in a rush order and we got all the way up to 3X in every single shirt style that you saw last week. I love all the love happening today. It's so nice. So, this is building off of the belly ring club, but I do want to mention it. I've had a lot of people asking me lately if they missed out on the belly ring club of the month from May, June, July, August, how they could possibly get their hands on them because they're not available on our website. And the answer to that is you can grab a mystery deluxe bag. Comes in this awesome gold bag. Honestly, this is my favorite thing to carry jewelry in. It's really, really convenient. It's flashy. Off topic. Oh, anybody that's interested in seeing me not at 1:00 in the afternoon, on September 29th, I'm doing an at-home sleepover. You guys can see my cats and my rats, which I promised the last time that would happen and then all my cats slept through the whole live video. But next time, I'm going to go wake them up. They're going to come out. So, September 29th, I will be announcing a time closer to that. I'm in a wedding the night before, so I don't know what my day is going to look like yet after that. Charlee, we carry many, many sizes of plugs, every size of plugs, up to a really large size. I know we've been trying to get in more of everything. 7/16 aren't as common of a size. 9/16, if you're willing and able to stretch up a little bit with a taper set from us, which is definitely available if you go to bodycandy.com and search taper sets, you could easily literally size up, 7 to 9/16 and you would have a lot more options, just to throw that out there.

I have my handy dandy clipboard. Thank you, Nate Berkus. It's my most helpful tool in the office. I have some information for you guys. I get a lot of questions about metal finishes, about allergies and metal sensitivities, and stuff like that. So I wanted to give you guys a brief overview, not even necessarily about Body Candy jewelry, but just jewelry in general today, about maybe some metal types and a little bit more info about them that might help you understand what is the right option for you.

The first thing I want to start with is if you have extreme sensitivities, where you just can't wear any metal, which happens to people, we have a lot of other products that you can wear. We have organic wood. We have stone. We've got glass. We have silicone, which is the flexible stuff. We have bioplast, which is a hard bioplastic, and then we have metal options. So, you have a bunch of other things if you have extreme sensitivities, or if you have a lot of surgeries and you don't like taking out your piercings, the bioplast options are awesome so that you don't have to lose your piercings over that kind of stuff. We've had some people that have had long-term issues and that stuff gets them through so that they can keep all their stuff and when they're feeling better, pop back in all their pretty, pretty stuff. Thanks for sharing, guys. So many shares.

So, the first thing I want to go over for metals is titanium. That is the most basic one that you can get. It's as strong as steel, so it's super, super strong. But it's really light like aluminum. So if you're really sensitive to weight, titanium is the option for you. It's wonderful. It's hypoallergenic. There are many great options available. And although titanium is nickel-free, that does not necessarily mean that it is alloy-free. An alloy is anything that is mixed with a base metal to help it harden or to give it a different finish. There's a variety of reasons why that stuff is in there. Some metals are so soft when they're in their pure form, you would never be able to wear them. So that's why that stuff's in there. I just want to point that out.

So, again, titanium. Hypoallergenic, no nickel, but that does not mean it's alloy-free. I do want to point out, also, a very interesting fact that I read today. Only about 10 to less than 20% of people in the world have an allergy to nickel. And I think some people are like, oh. This jewelry bothered me. I'm allergic to nickel. It's cheap. It's fake metal. That's not true. There's no such thing as fake metal. All metal is real. It's just a different kind. Aluminum is very cheap and light and you can fold your food in it and that's still a real metal. So fake metal is a term that I would love to remove as much as possible and I just wanted to let people know that there are other things you can be sensitive to besides nickel, so keep that in mind.

I'm really glad. I was hoping people were going to really like this. That's kind of the big focus on this. Because I get a lot of questions about nickel.

I'm looking into starting more clubs, but we're still working out the kinks, for anybody that's asking that.

The second metal that I'm going to mention is surgical steel. I always, in my lifetime, thought surgical steel, it must be super hypoallergenic, safe for everyone, right? It sounds surgical. It sounds official and important. The truth of the matter is, surgical steel can contain 8 to 12% nickel. But it's chemically bound to another metal, so in theory, it's not even going to bother you. And I think that, if you have a high nickel sensitivity, you want to stick to titanium if you're going to go any other route than something pure. That's just the truth of it.

Some people don't have any sensitivities. I can wear everything and I have no problems. I rarely have problems, I should say. I've had them in the world, but not in a really long time. Not since I've started working here, that's for sure.

Platinum is an option. It is a naturally found metal and it is nickel free. It's pricey. It's more expensive. We do offer platinum options in our nose studs. I believe there is a ball stud and a diamond stud available in platinum. Those are handmade in our gold department by Justin. Yeah. No, it's the best. So, that's really great if you have a lot of sensitivities, the platinum is the way to go especially if you're going to be wearing it all the time. It holds up really, really well. Or the titanium does too.

So, let me flip over my ... Oh, I don't want to flip over my notes. This is the most important part probably. Gold. Everybody thinks that gold is automatically the end all be all best. It's expensive. It's got to be perfect, right? Well, here's the deal. The numbers mean something and I always just ... I don't know why, but maybe [inaudible 00:29:52] off like, oh 10 karat, 14 karat, 18 karat, 24 karat. 24 is the biggest number, so it's probably the most expensive, which is true. But that's not why. There is a reason for that.

So I wanted to show you guys, I have a little chart. I have a little chart here for myself. Gold is still mixed with an alloy at times and it can be mixed with other things. So, 24 karat gold is going to be 99.9% gold. There's barely anything else in it. .01. So if you have a sensitivity, 24 karat gold's probably going to be good for you, unless you're allergic to gold. 23 karat gold is still at 95.8%, 22 karat is still at 91.7%. 18 karat drops down to 75% gold. 14 is at 58.5% and then 10 karat is at 38% gold.

The important information about this and the best way I can explain this to you is I just got married in June and I love rose gold. If any of you follow us, it's my favorite thing in the whole world. It's so beautiful. I think it's timeless. It's all I ever dreamed of. That's all I ever told my now husband that I wanted. And when we were making my rings, I thought, oh. Higher quality, 18 karat, 24 karat's my wedding ring, right? I'm going to pay for that. The truth of the matter is, she told me that 10 karat was best for me because it's harder, because there's more of an alloy in it, which makes it a more durable ring. If not, the higher number of the karat, like 24 karat gold is a lot easier to bend. I don't know if you guys have ever looked at your grandma's old rings, but some of them are a little flat in your finger, and that's why. Because they easily are malleable or movable.

So, there's other karats of ... You can even go lower than 10%. But just so you guys know. So if you like rose gold and it's an earring or something, go for the higher 18 karat. But 10 karat's really awesome if you're wearing rings or things that you want to hold up really well. I also have my rose gold tunnels in right now with the diamond studs. I like these, too, because ... I don't know if I can show you guys this elegantly, but sometimes I realize on the fly that I don't want diamond studs, and these are awesome because in the back, they're just the plain rose gold. So I just flop them around. Because if my hair's down, nobody can see the diamonds. So remember that.

Tanya said, "I thought I had allergies but I found that always having clean hands and cleaning all piercings in the shower has helped so much. No issues since then." That's my biggest rule of thumb with stretching, changing jewelry, anything. Be in the shower. The hot water, the soap. You don't want to over-clean. Cleaning once a day in the shower is totally fine. But that hot water helps your skin expand and relax and it helps remove bacteria, but without removing good bacteria. So, keep that in mind. But yes, being clean. Cleaning your jewelry, cleaning your hands before you touch anything about your piercing, especially a fresh piercing, is super important. Always remember that.

The last basic metal type that I want to talk about is one that's a little more confusing, I think, for people. And that's sterling silver. .925 sterling silver. Again, the numbers mean some. 92.5% pure silver. The remainder of that is alloys and it could be nickel but it might not be. So keep that in mind. Some people think they just can't wear sterling silver. There are different alloys that can be mixed into them that are not necessarily nickel. But if you have an allergy or sensitivity in general, you're probably just going to want to stay away from that if you can.

The other thing is we have a bunch of stuff that's like bioplast with the sterling silver studs on it and stuff. You could try something like that if you're interested in testing it out where just a small part will actually be touching you.

The salt mixes ... Lacey asked a really good question. Salt mixes are awesome for a natural cleaner and I totally support that. We sell the h2ocean sprays. We sell the mouthwashes. We sell the cleansers. You can make your own salt solution, which I'm going to show you guys how to do in a video really soon. But also, the one thing that some people are a little controversial about it is the gold Dial soap that I see someone commented about. It used to be a highly recommended soap. Some piercers have strayed away from it now. I don't want to get into a huge thing about it in the chat at all. I'm not condoning or not condoning anything. I'm just saying that I personally use the gold Dial soap and it helps me a lot. So, I really like it. We've had a lot of people that have messaged us about infections and issues and that stuff helped them within two days. Again, everybody's body is different. I'm not a doctor. I can't give out medical advice, but just to tell you guys what I do and share with you.

At the end of the day, the most important thing that you need to remember is when you get a fresh piercing and you want to change into new jewelry, it's so important, once you're leaving that titanium or the jewelry that your piercer gave you, you want to make sure you're fully healed or you have a lot more likeliness to be sensitive to things. You want to make sure you're all the way healed up. This is a wound in your body.

Karisa said her piercer told her to use a wound wash. I've definitely heard of that being recommended. I've never tried it. I cannot feedback on that. But if your piercer told you, that's totally cool. Your piercer should always be giving you information on cleaning stuff. Maybe I'll look into that and see if we can bring that information up as we go.

I want to make sure that I don't miss anything. Belly ring club. There's one more thing I almost forgot to talk to you guys about. I want to make it clear for you. We've had some people that they end up seeing the monthly collection and they're just like, hey. I wouldn't wear these three things. I don't want it. And they're canceling their monthly subscription and then skipping the month and then redoing it because they want the next month. And I want you guys to know that there's actually a skip button. So you don't have to keep signing up and signing yourself out and all this stuff. If you, when you signed up for the belly ring club and you buy from us, you create a login on our site. You can login and go into your payment info. You can actually skip a month and it will change, for example, if you skipped right now, your ship date's going to say September 7th or 9th or whatever. It will move it to October. So, if you have an issue with that, you can always call as well. Customer service is really awesome and helpful.

So keep that stuff in mind. You can just skip a month. Or if you are having a month where you're a little tighter on money, too, you can skip a month. It's really helpful and around the holidays, you're not going to want to miss this, because we have so many really cute things coming up. But stuff happens. Whatever. I just wanted to make sure you guys knew you could do that.

All right. So a little bit more Halloween jewelry. Let's get into some of that handcrafted stuff, because there's some cuties. I showed you guys the glam skull earlier that was like the black and champagne color. This is the other skull. This is also our Swarovski crystal, but it's in the aurora finish, where it's a little more almost that rainbow effect but it's clear and it's on the silver or titanium. So this is really cute for a simple skull. I love it.

Again, for anyone that maybe wasn't here, I will show you guys the other one that's almost like a rose gold, like coppery finish and then the black. So this is really cute. I'm going to use my forehead again, because it's way easier and I want to make sure you guys can see stuff.

We also have ... Oh my gosh. I brought so much cool stuff. I brought a tongue ring, which is this cute little black spider. It is black anodized. We also have this in rainbow. There's also skull versions of this. So these are really cute. Anything you see you can use keywords to search it or you can go to ... I also prefer the gold and black, but I also like it in the silver and I would like that for certain outfits, so I wanted to make sure I showed everybody both of them.

So yeah, this cute little spider. We have these awesome, cute little handcrafted ... This is a nipple bar and this is the bird skull. Look how cute this is. I kind of wish I had a bridge piercing. Maybe it would look cool. I can just wear a bird skull like I'm about to beat someone up. I'm just kidding. I would never. But these come in gold and silver, just so you guys know. Very, very cute.

Just to show you guys a quick little basic that's like $1.99 without any discounts, this cute little skull guy. He's red and black. Look at him. He's so cute. This is just an acrylic piece. Nice and simple. Again, if you're going out on Halloween night and you're belly's going to be covered and you don't want to wear any of your fancy expensive jewelry, that's a really, really cute way to still look super cute in case someone sees it, but not worry about losing anything important. Ooh. Big, loud truck. Sorry.

Break from Halloween jewelry. Here's this little candy lollipop. I thought this was so cute. I just saw this when I was grabbing the Halloween stuff so I wanted to show you. We have some skull nipple ... Oh, not nipple. This is a belly ring but it's the mount, so it's the silver ball at the top and then it's got the line that sits like yeah. It's super cool. Like goes along the whole line of your bellybutton. I will post a picture of me wearing this on Snapchat so you guys can see. That's why I try to show you guys stuff like this during live videos. It's hard to decide if you like stuff from just a product shot sometimes. So I like to show you guys in person and then try to post pictures of me wearing things so you can see how they lay.

Here is another nipple bar. These are the red gem. We also had black, but they are the vampirey bat wings. These were so cute. I really liked these. There was, like I said, a couple variations.

Let me show you ... Here. I'll show you one that I show ... Sorry guys. I bleeped for a minute there. I'm going to show you guys this. This is another nipple bar that we show periodically because they are some of our favorites. They're a top seller. These are the vampire fang nipple shields. They come in silver, gold, and rose gold finishes. So these are very cute and very vampy. But they also can be worn all year. We also have an industrial in this. It's the bar through and it's got the little vampy teeth right in the middle of it, just so you guys know.

Let me show you guys a couple of my favorites that are not expected favorites. Like I saw them and was like, oh my god. I didn't even know that I would ever want such a thing. But I do. The first one. Oh my god. This broke my heart with happiness. It's a little voodoo doll. Okay? It's a little yarn voodoo doll. Look at it. It's so cute. She's got a little bow in her hair. Ugh. Adorable. I love this. It's very Halloween, but still cute like if you have kids and stuff, I like things like this. We also have a Frankenstein like this. It was really, really cute. I did not grab that one because I wanted to try to mix things up for you guys a little bit.

The other belly ring that I really love ... PSA. This is the only one left. So if you want it, go buy it. Or there is only one left, I should say. It's a little martini with an eyeball in it instead of an olive and it's got the green gem and I think this is so cute. I have one at home, so you will be buying the last one that matches mine. I'm sure that if you guys show interest in getting these, we will restock them. But just to let you know that it's the last available one for a little while, at least. So keep that in mind.

Let me see. Here's another real cute little option, again if you have kids and stuff or you just like little skeletons. It's a little skeleton with a little bow. Love bows. They're the best. So, this is really adorable.

We have this really cute spiderweb industrial that has the little spider with the paved yellow gems on it. This is super, super cute. I like that it's the black anodized. And we actually also have a belly ring, so this is super adorable. I love spiderwebs. It's been my favorite emoji since I got into the Halloween spirit.

Katelyn, if there's anything that you see that's out of stock, it really depends, but we try our best to restock things. Anything I'm showing today, especially. If it's out and we see a bunch of people that are like, oh no, I can't find it, we will definitely get that stuff in. And I will post about stuff as we get it restocked. I've been trying to keep up on those things for you guys because we've had some things that have definitely sold really, really quickly. So keep that in mind.
