Q: I'm getting a new piercing in two weeks!!! What is the best way to prep for the big day?? -Chloe Grace
A: Congratulations! There are a few things you can do to help ensure that the big day goes as smoothly as possible. Make sure you get a good night’s sleep the night before, we know that can be hard since you’re bound to be excited. On the day of the appointment, make sure that you eat no more than five hours before your appointment and drink plenty of water. You may even wish to take a bottle of water with you. And make sure to wear comfy clothes so that you are as at ease as possible. Best of luck!
Q: Are all jewelry styles pretty much the same or are there certain styles that are safer to wear in a cartilage piercing? Thanks. -Dillon
A: So, the thing is, not all cartilage piercings are created the same. Some require straight jewelry only, such as an industrial piercing or a flat piercing. Some require curved or circular jewelry, such as a rook or daith. And a lot of them can wear either style, like the tragus, conch, and some helix piercings. As long as you are wearing a style that is compatible with your piercing, you should be good to go. Happy piercing!
