Q: I get pretty bad allergies in the spring, but I really want a nose ring!! Bad idea? Any thoughts? -Oaklyn
A: There’s no reason why you wouldn’t be able to get your nose pierced despite your allergies. One tip that might help is to get your nose pierced in summer, after your allergies have run their course. That way by the time the next allergy season rolls around, your piercing will be fully healed and won’t be irritated by any nose blowing. You would also be able to switch out your jewelry if needed. Best of luck
Q: How long do you have to wait before you can get a piercing redone? -Mateo M
A: Once you remove the jewelry, you have to wait until the old piercing is entirely healed. Depending on the location, how long you’ve had the piercing, and on how quickly your body heals, this can be anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months. If you have a piercer remove the jewelry for you, they can tell you roughly how long it will take your specific piercing to heal and how long it will take before you can get it re-done. Happy piercing!
