1. Double Tragus
When getting a double tragus pierced, it is the same as a regular tragus piercing, except instead of having a single, centered piercing, you’ll have two stacked one above the other. The added piercing makes for an elegant, uniquely customizable look that will have your non-pierced friends running to get pierced too.
2. Conch
The conch is called such because it’s the piercing right in the inner cup part of your ear (the part that looks like a swirly seashell, or Conch shell!). You can get either your inner or outer conch pierced; An inner conch piercing is pierced with the intention of wearing a statement stud. An outer conch piercing is done closer to the edge of the ear, and is intended to be worn with a hoop.
3. Daith
Often confused for the Tragus, the Daith piercing sits just above the Tragus. It’s the end of the swirl shape your ear makes as it connects to the side of your face. With a piercing in your daith, the jewelry will hug and pass through the innermost part of your ear cartilage. Comfortable jewelry options for a daith piercing would include hoops, curved barbells, and horseshoe rings. Because you’ll see both ends of the jewelry in a daith piercing, piercers don’t usually recommend regular stud piercings, but prefer something double sided to create the most visual impact.
4. Stacked Lobe
If you have space above your standard lobe piercings, you have space for a stacked lobe piercing! Stacked lobe piercings look like the double tragus piercing, with one hole sitting above another, but on your lobe instead of cartilage. Sometimes, if you’re crafty, you can even get three stacked lobe piercings in the shape of a triangle!Normally, small stud jewelry is recommended when you stack lobe piercings. On the lower of your stacked lobe piercings, you might be able to fit a regular earring or hoop, but you’re definitely going to want to opt for daintier studs to sit above your lower hole.
5. Flat (a.k.a. Flat Helix)
The Flat Helix is named as such because it's at that flat cartilage space towards the top of your upper ear. Picture it- such a big blank canvas is perfect for a statement centerpiece for your ear jewelry, or, curate the perfect constellation of piercings to create a unique design of jewelry that you won’t find anywhere else. If you have one flat helix piercing, a large stud that steals the show could be the right fit, or if you have multiple flat helix piercings, we suggest picking a matching set of smaller, cute studs to make a big impact!
6. Chain Industrial
Chain Industrial piercings are just like regular industrial piercings, but they give in a way your average industrial simply cannot. Consisting of two piercings on either side of your cartilage, give the barbell a break and opt instead for a chain industrial piece of jewelry. There are all sorts of designs when it comes to chain industrials, but they all have the same two basic components, no matter how intricate or simple; a stud to go in each piercing, and a chain or two to connect the two studs together.
