Happy October! If you're new here, welcome to my e-zine - my name is Alley and today I'm going to be answering some of your pierced and modified questions!
I've been getting lots of questions about tattoos lately and I didn't want y'all to feel left out. Piercing and tattoos go hand in hand, so today's Tea is tattoo focused!

Today's topics:
- Prep mentally for your tattoo, especially if you're afraid of needles. Make sure you know what you want and get determined! Prepare yourself for some discomfort the next day.
- Day before/day of - get a good night's sleep, drink lots of water, take your vitamins, and make sure you have something nourishing to eat.
- Make it into a "treat yourself" day! Stop by the store and snag a delicious sports drink and your favorite candy bar.
- Tattoos hurt for sure, but it's a good kind of pain! Everyone's body is different and every spot on your body feels different... But in general it kind of feels like a cat scratch on a sunburn.
- If your piercer is comfortable with it, numbing creams can "take the edge off" - just make sure you follow the directions!
