Fake Septum Ring Fit & Wear Guide
How they hold: a magnetic septum ring hides a small magnet in each ball of the horseshoe; set the balls either side of the thin skin at the front of your septum and they pull together and stay. A clip-on is a sprung hoop that closes with a light grip. Place either one at the sweet spot, the soft skin just below the cartilage, which is exactly where a real piercing sits.
Wear it honestly: it holds through a normal day and comes off in two seconds. Take it off to sleep, swim or play sports, and expect a hard sneeze to shift it. The magnets are small and strong, so keep them away from small children and pets.
Materials are 316L surgical steel with PVD color bonded to the metal, so the gold tone and rainbow finishes do not flake and the steel does not turn skin green.
Hiding a real piercing instead? That is a retainer job, not a fake: flip a horseshoe up into your nose, or wear the 16G titanium septum retainer that sits inside and disappears.
